Our first open day of 2025. The steam engine O4 enjoyed its visit to Thorpe so much last year it’s coming back again for 2025, so come and join us for an afternoon of train rides on our scenic little railway. As usual we’re open from 12.30pm – 4pm, entry fee is £3.50 per person (under 5s and members free) and includes as many train rides as you like.

We’ll be joined by Keith with his Really Awesome Coffee Van, so treat yourself so his delicious hots drinks and range of snacks.

Please note – Whorlton Bridge is still closed while repair work is ongoing, but we are open, with access from the south side of the river only. Parking is available on site, just follow directions from our volunteers. Please bring cash to pay entry fees, as unfortunately we are unable to take card payments at the moment.
