The first trains were running on the Sunday 28th, with passenger numbers over 500 for the day. A wonderful start to the year; thank you to everyone who visited for your support, and taking a ride on the Thorpe Light Railway.
The Barista Sisters were on hand serving tasty coffees, teas and hot chocolates to the passengers. Also a selection of cold drinks and snacks were available.
The Barista Sisters’ coffee wagon will be a feature at all our running days this year, to compliment what the railway has to offer. Feel free to show your support, and enjoy one of the finest coffees around.
Whorlton Station on the Thorpe Light Railway looking decidedly empty, as all the passengers for the first train of the day had boarded for their ride. Don’t worry though, as there will be another train along in about 10 minutes.
